Job Description

Pymble Ladies’ College is a school of the Uniting Church in Australia for girls Kindergarten to Year 12 with boarding from Year 7. At Pymble, we foster a world-class educational environment with the importance of global citizenship and a worldwide perspective central to our strategic intent.

We believe our staff, both teaching and non-teaching, are our most valuable resource. We are proud to have passionate and dedicated staff who recognise the unique strengths and qualities of every Pymble girl.

The role

Pymble Ladies' College is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director to lead our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service.

Reporting to the Head of Junior School, the Director of OSHC leads the day-to-day operation of our After School Care and Vacation Care programs, based in our newly opened, purpose-built facility within the Hunter and Vicars Centre. You will ensure full compliance with the National Quality Framework, including the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, the National Quality Standards and the My Time, Our Place framework, while creating play and leisure experiences that support each child's learning and wellbeing.

A key part of the role is overseeing assessment and rating visits by the regulatory authority and preparing the team so that all quality areas are consistently met and continuous improvement is embedded in everyday practice. You will recruit, supervise, roster and develop a capable and engaged team of educators, creating a supportive culture in which they can do their best work. Together you will design, program and evaluate quality experiences that meet children's physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs, and you will plan and deliver an engaging Vacation Care program, including excursions and incursions, during non-term time.

Alongside the program, you will manage the operational side of the service, including enrolments, family payments, Child Care Subsidy claims and the annual budget, working in partnership with the College Finance team. Throughout, you will build genuine, professional partnerships with families and communicate with the warmth and clarity that characterises the Pymble community.
