Job Description

Pymble Ladies’ College is a school of the Uniting Church in Australia for girls Kindergarten to Year 12 with boarding from Year 7. At Pymble, we foster a world-class educational environment with the importance of global citizenship and a worldwide perspective central to our strategic intent.

The role

The Careers and Futures Advisory team is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality, accurate, and student focused career education, as well as providing comprehensive tertiary and career information.
 
The Careers and Futures Advisor supports students and parents/carers by offering expert guidance to help them make informed decisions about post-school pathways. This role works collaboratively with academic and wellbeing teams to ensure that Careers and Futures initiatives reflect the school’s strategic pillars and align with the Teaching and Learning and Wellbeing frameworks.

We are open to this opportunity as a full time or part time position with flexible working arrangements negotiable.

You will demonstrate the following attributes and capabilities:

  • Willingness to support and promote the ethos and values of the College
  • Qualifications in Career Development, Education, Counselling, or a related field (or working towards)
  • Demonstrated experience in providing career education or advisory services within an educational setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with students, parents, staff, and external partners
  • Knowledge of current trends in tertiary admissions, employment markets, and vocational pathways
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Accurate record keeping, exceptional attention to detail and follow up
  • Membership of the Careers Advisors Association (CAA) desirable
