Job Description

Pymble Ladies’ College is a school of the Uniting Church in Australia for girls Kindergarten to Year 12 with boarding from Year 7. At Pymble, we foster a world-class educational environment with the importance of global citizenship and a worldwide perspective central to our strategic intent.

The role

The Artistic Gymnastics Program at Pymble Ladies’ College offers a dynamic and supportive environment where students can develop their skills, strength, and confidence across all levels of participation. Our program provides pathways from recreational gymnastics through to competitive levels, fostering a love of the sport while promoting discipline, resilience, and teamwork.
 
Led by experienced and accredited coaches, the program delivers structured weekly, monthly, and annual training plans, ensuring each gymnast is challenged and supported to achieve their personal goals. Athletes have the opportunity to participate in local, state, and national competitions, with training sessions scheduled before and after school to accommodate academic commitments.
 
Whether students are aiming for high-level competition or simply seeking to improve their fitness and coordination, the Pymble Ladies’ College Artistic Gymnastics Program is dedicated to helping every gymnast reach their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment.
 
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Artistic Gymnastics Coach to support the supervision, mentoring, and training of Pymble Ladies’ College students and casual coaches within our Gymnastics program. This role involves the planning, programming, and oversight of weekly, monthly, and annual schedules across all strands of the Artistic Gymnastics program. This is a permanent part time position 30 hours per week and requires flexibility to work before and after school hours, attendance at competitions, and active participation in judging.

You will demonstrate the following attributes and capabilities:

  • Willingness to support and promote the ethos and values of the College
  • Coaches holding an Advanced or above Gymnastics Australia qualification 
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to always demonstrate professional conduct and discretion
  • Current first aid, CPR and WWCC qualification
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with ages K-12
  • Demonstrated experience in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics up to Level 10
  • Demonstrated experience of managing a team of Casual Coaches
  • Maintain up to date technical registration with Gymnastics Australia and Gymnastics NSW for coaching and judging duties
