The role
We have a unique opportunity for a Digital and Social Media specialist to join our Community Engagement team for a fixed term 12-month parental leave contract.
This pivotal role is responsible for implementing digital marketing and communication activities for the College, with the goal of ensuring Pymble continues to develop and maximise a strong market position. The measure of success in this role is the engagement of past, present, and future families and students as well as increased enrolments and general interest in the College. The role will support the Director of Community Engagement and Communications and Engagement Manager across several key projects and an exciting calendar of events.
The Digital and Social Media Manager also works closely with Community Engagement team members, including the Community Events Managers, Editor & Communications Coordinator, and Video Producer, as well as other departments across the College, to cultivate a strong community around the College brand across all digital platforms for both internal and external audiences.
This role will suit an energetic experienced specialist dedicated to ensuring the brand awareness and relevance is maintained and enhanced.

You will demonstrate the following attributes and capabilities:
- Experience in a similar role in social media, digital marketing and, or communications
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as Marketing or Communications
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail and ensure brand alignment
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Teams and Google Forms
- Social content and platform management tool expertise eg Metabusiness, Hootsuite and Wordpress
- Basic knowledge of photo editing software, such as Photoshop
- Ability to capture imagery and content at College events (e.g. on a smartphone)
- Well-developed communication and relationship building skills
- The ability to pivot, be agile and accept last minute priority changes
- Proven ability to show initiative and work autonomously
- Willingness to support the ethos and values of the College
