The roles
The future of Dance at Pymble is at fever pitch with our new facility currently under construction. This new centre will feature six large dance studios, a performance space, meeting rooms and a dance physiotherapy room. Dance at Pymble incorporates six streams of dance that allow students to specifically tailor their dance experience at the College to their interest areas.
Our program’s rapid expansion has resulted in the creation of several exciting new roles, providing more opportunities for passionate dance professionals to join our dynamic team.
Reporting to the Deputy Head of Dance, the Dance Coordinators are responsible for facilitating a safe, professional, and a well organised program of Dance to students at the College. The Dance Program Coordinator role also supports the Dance Program as a Dance Instructor in the Cocurricular Dance Program.
Working closely with the Head of Dance and Deputy Head of Dance, the purpose of this role is to ensure the various dance classes offered in the Cocurricular Program support the strategic intent of the College, the Academic Dance Program and the growth of students in all their dance endeavours. The Cocurricular program includes approximately 1400 + registrations in K – 12 Dance classes in various levels and styles which are segmented into Streams: RAD Ballet Stream, Onstage Stream, SideStage Stream, Eisteddfod Stream and VET in Dance Stream, and the expansion of an external stream. The role is organised to oversee particular streams and various projects within them. Projects may be modified due to student demand and College direction.
Given the nature of the role, flexibility in working hours is required to support performances and events in the evenings and on weekends as required. In return for working evenings and weekends, flexibility with start and finish times and non-term time working arrangements will be negotiated with the Head of Dance.
Please note these roles are purely co-curricular and not academic in nature.
